The Network was founded by the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development in 1999 with the opening of the Shady Grove Innovation Center and specializes in helping young companies realize their potential. Since its inception the Business Innovation Network has worked with over 250 teams of entrepreneurs and graduated about 100 companies. Over the last ten years the Network has grown to five business incubation centers that offer the critical combination of highly flexible, modern office and lab space and business support services.
